Fall Letter from the President

I hope everyone had a wonderful summer! We are all fortunate to call the Midwest home to bring on a great fall season, to enjoy the crisp air, beautiful foliage, apple picking and play-off baseball!
EDPA Midwest is gearing up for an exciting fall with many activities over the next few months. The Midwest Chapter encourages all our members to participate in the great programs and socials we have scheduled for the remanding 2018 year.

After a very successful first year bowling event, join us for our 2nd Annual Strikes & Scares charity bowling event at Strike 10 in Roselle, Thursday, October 25th. Sign up your team and come out for a night of networking and fun, all to benefit Illinois Alzheimer’s Association. Find details and registration of this year’s event at https://www.edpamidwest.org/charity-bowling-event
Presenters Challenge, our most popular event of the year, will be held Thursday, November 8th at the Itasca Country Club. Unlike years past where traditional exhibits where the focus for our team of designers and presenters, this year’s theme will be a corporate hospitality event. Join us for a fantastic night of networking and creative dialog.

EDPA Annual Access 2018 will be in beautiful Naples, FL at the Grande Beach Resort, November 28-30. Registration is now open at www.edpa.com/access/ This year’s focus is on creating branded experiences and environments for memorable face-to-face engagement. This is an excellent event to stay current with professional knowledge, and to connect with industry peers.

We round out 2018 with Exhibit 4 Smiles annual charity program benefiting UIC Children’s Hospital. This year 238 children, and counting, will receive holiday gifts from EDPA Midwest and its members. I ask all our members to participate by giving to this wonderful program for those children in need. Donations & gifts are being accepted at Ion Exhibits, 700 District Drive, Itasca, IL 60143 to the attention of Karen Korreckt. All gifts will be wrapped and delivered on December 12th. For details, contact Rick Pierson at rpierson@brumark.com

Midwest Chapter has once again submitted for Chapter of the Year 2018, with our strongest application to date with our theme of “Building by the Numbers”. We are going for 7 in-a-row! This year has been filled with great program content and networking socials, and I thank each of our Board Members and participating members in making 2018 a truly remarkable year.
Enjoy the Fall season, and I look forward to seeing you all at our Quarter 4 events!
Kevin Fett – President EDPA Midwest
